The Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook Hospital is something this city has been lacking for a long time: a team of skilled professionals dedicated to helping families find the right support for children and yonng adults in need of mental health and addiction interventions. I will be participating in the run–15K!–and would be honoured if you could contribute a donation to my effort. Here is the official blurb and information on how to donate:
Exciting news – I’ve just signed up to participate in the 2016 RBC Race for the Kids on September 17th, and I would really appreciate your support.
The donations generated by the race will support the critical work of the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook. This non-profit program helps Canadian youth struggling with mental health and addiction issues.
AS A PSYCHOTHERAPIST WORKING IN THE FIELD, I STRONGLY SUPPORT AND ENDORSE THE FAMILY NAVIGATION PROJECT–THEY ARE A MUCH NEEDED ORGANIZATION STAFFED BY WELL TRAINED PROFESSIONALS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Only one in five young people will get the specialized mental health service they desperately need due to the sheer complexity of our mental health system. The trained staff at Sunnybrook’s Family Navigation Project will help youth and their familes to get the right care, at the right time.
The more I raise, the more young people benefit – so please give what you can at my personal fundraising page.
It’s a secure site, and it’s really easy to use. Once you get there, simply selectDonate Now from the menu. An electronic charitable tax receipt will be sent to you shortly afterward.
Or you can send a cheque to the address below.
